Vessel safety features

Life-saving equipment

Vessels are equipped with essential life-saving equipment, such as life jackets, life rafts, and personal flotation devices (PFDs). These items are readily accessible to passengers and crew in case of emergencies.

Fire detection & suppression systems

Vessels have fire detection systems in place to quickly identify and locate any potential fire incidents onboard. Additionally, they are equipped with fire suppression systems, such as fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and fire alarms.

Navigation & communication systems

Our capable crew is built of highly trained bridge officers. who are all actively conducting safe navigation using our brand-new bridge equipment at all times.

Emergency response equipment

Vessels are equipped with a range of emergency response equipment, including emergency lighting, emergency power supply, emergency evacuation slides, and emergency escape routes.

Staff safety training

The entire Hullo Crew have Transport Canada endorsed safety training to ensure our guests can sail with ease! Here are a few more ways our crew will keep you safe as your cross the Salish Sea:

Sailing in weather conditions

We aim for smooth sailing always, but sometimes the sea has other plans. Rest assured, these boats were built for these waves, and our crew will sail only when weather forecasting evaluations say it’s safe to do so.
